About the Editor
Lindsay Mapes is a professional Video Editor and Creative Strategist specializing in branded, lifestyle, and social-forward digital media. She treats each frame with precision and thoughtfully composes every piece, with an unwavering commitment to a high standard of excellence.
While pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Cinematic Arts at the University of Texas at Arlington, where she was named to the dean’s list three years consecutively, Lindsay also excelled in art history studies and traditional design coursework, with a niche in typography and layout. This multi-disciplinary background contributes to Lindsay’s deep understanding of visual mediums, creative storytelling, and cinematic production.
Beyond editing videos for freelance clients and personal work, Lindsay spent 3 ½ years in-house at Square, one of the world’s leading tech giants, where she grew a robust global performance creative team focused on platform engagement. Aside from video editing, here she gained further experience in motion graphics, content strategy, and directing UGC productions optimized for vertical social content.
Before transitioning to editing full-time, Lindsay spent several years as a production assistant for reality television, most notably working on major TV shows such as Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Dallas, A&E’s Cold Case Files, and WeTV’s Love After Lockup. Her experience working on set provides her with a unique holistic approach and a bird’s eye view beginning in pre-production.
Whether it’s end-to-end editing, concept development and strategizing, or anything in between, Lindsay orchestrates every step with consideration. The result: engaging content that resonates across audiences.
